Scenic Drive to Mt Diablo 10/10/12

Today we took a scenic drive to Mt. Diablo. Unfortunately, we didn't quite make it to the summit. Google maps directed us to the Mt. Diablo Visitor Center. Because of time, we decided it would be best just to wander around the visitor center before heading off to lunch.  While at the visitor center, we met a resident employee who opened the visitor center just for us! She provided us amazing information about the park - what luck it was to have a knowledgeable and friendly person willing to help us.

We had a unique lunch at the Elephant Bar Restaurant in Concord.
