Farmers Market at Deer Park 7/25/13

Since we can’t visit a local Farmers Market because they’re generally in the evening or weekends, Deer Park is bringing the Farmers Market home. 

 This is how it worked: 

1. Instead of buying gifts for our July Raffle, we went shopping and purchased 8 different fresh produces, 8 baskets to put the produce in, 8 shopping bags and decorated.
   
2. We pulled 8 resident names from our raffle bin. Those 8 residents were then given a bag and were able to sort through the variety of produce and fill their bags.

We also served Hot Fudge Sundaes.

 

       

Residents want us to do this one again. They LOVED IT.

The Hand Fan Museum & Bear Republic Brewing Co 7/24/13

Today's beautiful drive north on Highway 101 to the Historic Healdsburg to visit the Hand Fan Museum. 

It is the first museum in the United States dedicated solely to hand fans and displays a permanent collection, as well as a rotating exhibit, that tell, often in beguiling detail, the stories of the cultures and individuals who used them.

 

 

 So now it's lunch time......at Bear Republic Brewing Co - Very interesting and good food.

          

 

Our docent from the Hand Fan Museum decided to surprise us all at lunch with 2 bottles of 'J' champagne and some decadent chocolates.

Our Servers are Graduating 7/19/13

Japan Town & Benihana's 7/10/13

One of our favorites... Japan Town - shopping at the Daiso and Benihana's for lunch. Have to do this one at least twice a year.
