Healdsburg Museum 11/28/12

Today we headed north in the rain, but that didn't stop the residents from wanting to go out. 1st stop at the Healdsburg Museum where they had their Musical Toyland exhibit for the holidays.

 Every winter the museum presents a differently-themed toy exhibit, suitable for children and adults alike.  Visitors to the gallery this year will discover a miniature winter wonderland, a Victorian-era child’s bedroom on “The Night Before Christmas,” as well as many other toys and games from the 1860s to the 1960s.

The highlight of this year’s exhibit will be Nydia Goode’s extraordinary dollhouse, all decked out for Christmas.  This stunning dollhouse is exquisitely detailed, fully furnished and remarkable in every way, down to the tiny deviled eggs on diminutive china plates in the dining room.

Next lunch at the Ravenous Cafe in historical downtown Healdsburg.

Ended up to be a wonderful day with little rain.

very close to one another - but what the heck, good food

good friends.

Off to San Francisco to enjoy some shopping in China Town.

China Town is looking pretty festive.

 

Ceral looks pretty serious with a machete in hand - look out.



And then to the Oriental Pearl Restaraunt to enjoy that wonderful chinese cusine.

Sleep & Sleep Aid Presentation 11/13/12

The lovely Dominican Student Nurses return to Deer Park. Todays presentation, Sleep & Sleep Aid.

Honoring All Who Served 11/11/12

On November 11th we acknowledged our Deer Park Veterans with a special luncheon and presented them with the 'Honoring Of All Who Served' book. Our Activity Director Kim Cavanagh created the 60 page 'Honoring All Who Served' book. The books capture our Deer Park Veterans rank, the branch of military they were in, where they were stationed and their favorite memory of service.
